Along with Easter week, the Horse fair in Jerez, Cadiz in southern Spain is the biggest celebration of the year, also one of the most important. It is declared Internation Tourist Interest Festivity. The origins of this fair date back to the middle ages when the livestock herders would gather for business in the city.

The week of the Horse Fair in Jerez takes place after the famous Seville Fair, and during a week and the weekend before the fair, the city dresses up in it's best clothes and pays honor to the horses around it's main avenues.
